Happy Friday everyone! I’m in such a good mood from yesterday’s double-overtime win by the Habs as well as attending my friend Adrien’s movie premiere. His short film is called Entrain and it was wonderful to watch. It’s all about making connections and by attending the premiere I connected with friends that I haven’t seen in awhile so it was doubly special in that way.
This week I also discovered that the Loblaws grocery store up the street made some major renovations and now I basically want to hang out there. It now has an updated meat, cheese and bread section as well as having an amazing pastry selection, complete with other desserts such as macarons and gelato.
This weekend is a particularly geeky one since Saturday is Free Comic Book Day, which means that you should definitely stop by your local comic book store and take advantage of the free books they’re giving away as well as buy a few to support them. Some stores will even have artists there for sketches. Whether you’re new to comics or a veteran, FCBD is not to be missed!
And this Sunday is Star Wars Day, also known as May the Fourth Day. Fourth, force, for the newbs out there. It’s a good opportunity to re-watch the movies, the good ones at least, and pay our homages any way we can. Last year, I spent the day making origami lightsabers.
