It Happened This Week…

Happy Thursday everyone! The week seems to have flown by and it is indeed officially fall. Most of our shows have started again, except for Brooklyn Nine-Nine, the CW’s Arrow & The Flash. Hurry up, guys! Anyways there were a couple cool announcements this week.

…in the TARDIS

While I liked “Time Heist”, I didn’t love it as much as I thought I would. This Saturday, the Doctor is back in present-day London, which will be a first for the 12th Doctor. I’m looking forward to seeing how his interactions with Danny Pink will go.

Cersei Lannister will be reunited with her dear ol’ dad, Tywin in the upcoming film adaptation of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. For those unfamiliar with the book (yes, I’ve read it), it’s exactly what it sounds like. Now I have to watch this movie.

While the next season is farther from our TV screens than Daenerys is from Westeros, we can all take relief from the fact that they’ve started filming. If you don’t really care about spoilers, head on over to Screencrush for the rest of the photos. The long road to the Season 5 premiere has begun!

Hey, look it’s Wonder Woma-er…I mean Mockingbird! Entertainment Weekly gives us the first photo of Adrianne Palicki as Mockingbird in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Now that this list has been released by The Mary Sue detailing the episodes you need to watch in order to catch up for Season 2, I’m fully on board!

In the least-shocking news ever, Bryan Singer will be directing X-Men: Apocalypse. Yeah, thanks Deadline. But what interests me about this article is the synopsis for the movie:

The altering of time has unleashed a new and uniquely powerful enemy. Charles (James McAvoy), Erik/Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Raven/Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) and Hank/Beast (Nicholas Hoult) are joined by young Cyclops, Storm, Jean and others as the X-Men must fight their most formidable foe yet: an ancient unrelenting force determined to cause an apocalypse unlike any in human history.

Young Cyclops, Storm and Jean, you guys!!! We can officially forget the nightmare that was The Last Stand.

Well if that doesn’t make your day, then I feel bad for you.
