Spring Essentials

Happy end of Monday (and hopefully end of winter)! I know it’s been a week since I’ve posted, but in my defence, work and family took up all my time last week. But I’m back, baby, and here are my some of my suggestions to user in springtime:
FotorCreated
1. A face mask to prep your skin for all those spring walks
2. Bright pretty nails thanks to these
3. Celebrate the season with this lip colour
4. Scalloped bag, the better to go everywhere with
5. My dream spring dress

New Year’s Fashion 2015

Happy Monday! This week will be the last full week of regularly scheduled blog posts. I’m leaving for Montreal on Saturday and will be back in Toronto to ring in the New Year. Speaking of 2015, here are some dresses I’m eyeing:

FotorCreated

1. This would be my dream dress if I had fancy plans for New Year’s Eve
2. I have a similar dress in navy that I wouldn’t be opposed to wearing
3. You can never go wrong with sequins
4. This is a practical choice for the Toronto winter
5. Something short, something bright, something hot. Perfect.

Holiday Party Dress Guide 2014

Happy 2nd week of December! Inspired by my office holiday party this Friday, I came up with different looks for any holiday party you find yourself invited to this season:

FotorCreated

1. Work party appropriate
2. If you’re lucky enough to get invited to a very fancy, formal holiday gala
3. The opposite of the ugly Christmas sweater
4. LBD

Hope everyone has a great Monday.

Winter Fashion 2014

When winters comes along, all I wanna do is curl up under blankets and hibernate until spring. Alas, duty calls and I actually need to go out into the world. Luckily I found some nice pieces to get me through this season:

Fotor1109182049

1. Who says sweaters need to be boring?
2. The perfect winter party dress
3. Can I just live in this?
4. Preferably worn with tights
5. Love the textured knit

Happy Monday!

Fall 2014 Accessories

A new season is the perfect excuse to update your wardrobe through your accessories. Just a few tweaks here and there can make you fall-ready in no time. Here’s what I’m loving straight from the runways as seen on Vogue:

1. Who says floral is only for spring? Fall runways were flooded with flowers.

2. Flat boots are all the rage, so you can give those heels a break.

3. Stay warm with faux fur trimmings.

4. No season is complete without statement jewelry. If you’re feeling bold, rock one earring or play it safe with several rings all in one hand.

5. And my favourite trend this season: the scarf. From Marc Jacobs to Prada, designers made this accessory the star of their shows.

Happy Monday!

August Long Weekend Essentials

I can’t believe I’m saying this but July is coming to an end. It feels like summer just got here, or a version of summer that’s been super rainy. Please let the sun come out this weekend, Mother Nature! Coming from the Philippines, I will never get used to how short summers are in Canada. But I guess it just makes us appreciate them all the more. Don’t start shopping for your fall wardrobe just yet. Let’s keep the summer spirit going on a bit longer. Whether you’re staying in the city or driving to the cottage, here’s to enjoying the long weekend:

1. Forever 21 Romper
2. Ray-Ban Aviators
3. Stila Makeup Set
4. Kate Spade Idiom Bangle
5. Deena & Ozzy Sandals

Happy Monday, remember it’s a short week!

Summer Showers & The Fashion They Inspire

This summer in Toronto has been a kind of rainy at times. We had a thunderstorm that was pretty bad and I didn’t bring my umbrella at all so of course, I was drenched. The subway station beside my apartment was flooded so it took me close to an hour and a half to get home instead of the usual half hour. I’m not quite sure if last summer was like this, but regardless, I thought a post on rain essentials was in order.

Fotor0707143026

1. A cute umbrella…duh!
2. I have been looking everywhere for a lightweight rain coat that’s foldable so I can just pack it and forget it. This one is adorable!
3. When it comes to rain boots, you can either go traditional like with these. Bonus they’re on sale!
4. Or you can refuse to sacrifice style and splurge on these classic ones that you’ll probably just wear even when it’s not raining or these fun printed ones.

Stay dry out there and happy Monday!
