Happy Friday everyone! I have successfully finished my first week of work, just in time to celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving with my boyfriend’s family who’s in town. So excited for my first three-day weekend as a working girl.
This week was the first Beer School of the awesome Crystal and she taught us all about hops! As you can see we tasted some killer IPAs & Pale Ales. Her next class is on cider so I highly recommend it.
To get into the Fall spirit and give back, we were inspired by our friend Merissa, who writes two wonderful blogs, here and here. She sent us a pumpkin-gram to support thinking forward‘s anti-bullying campaign. In turn, we decided to send one to our Dutch neighbor who’s never carved a pumpkin in his life!
Even though it was Keith’s birthday this week, he still found these Wonder Woman buttons for me while antiquing with his family. So sweet.
Continuing with celebrations, we had an amazing dinner with his family last night at the Italian restaurant beside our apartment that we’ve lived next to for three years and never tried. The paella, while not traditionally Italian, was on special and very delicious.
But the pièce de résistance was definitely the tiramisu. Hands down, best one I’ve ever had. Not kidding, I was very much in love with it.
Hope you all have a great weekend and Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!
